Lambeth Council’s regeneration plans for 49 Brixton Station Road and 6 Canterbury Crescent will deliver 288 new homes, with 98 at full social rent, plus upgraded public spaces, new shops, community hubs and affordable workspaces if planning permission is granted. Source

An 11‑year‑old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after a car struck her on Tooting Bec Road on Friday 12 December. Police and ambulance crews treated her at the scene and she remains critically ill. Source

Wandsworth Cracks Down on Unsafe Rents šŸ 

Wandsworth Council is extending its landlord licensing schemes to protect renters and tackle rogue landlords. The rules now cover HMOs and private lets in key areas, with expansion from April to East and West Putney and Northcote. Landlords must sign up or face penalties. Source
