Clapham theatre opens for it’s future
Clapham’s Omnibus Theatre has opened an online auction. Local businesses and residents have pulled together and donated 86 prizes to the auction which include a helicopter ride, a personalised message from Dame Judi Dench and a Greek getaway. Source
Vinod Sekhar Mugged in London
Malaysian businessman Vinod Sekhar was attacked and robbed outside his daughter’s flat near Battersea Power Station. Two assailants struck him, tore off his watch, and fled on electric bikes. He suffered bruising- his wife intervened- and London police responded swiftly. Source
Battersea Killer Jailed for Life
A 25-year-old man has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 30 years for murdering Rico Andrews in Battersea during a row over a stolen motorbike. Joshua Eno shot Andrews at point-blank range before fleeing on a moped. His accomplice, Tyrone Attwood, was also convicted of robbery. Source
South London Fire Displaces Families
Several families have been left temporarily homeless after a life-changing blaze ripped through a block of council flats in South London. Authorities are now permanently rehousing residents while support is provided for recovery and rebuilding lives. Source
Scarlet Fever After Brixton Gig
A 22-year-old woman developed scarlet fever following a gig in Brixton. What she thought was just a sore throat escalated to a burning rash and flu-like symptoms. With antibiotic treatment she’s now recovering and urging others to watch for warning signs. Source
Giant Spider Returns to UK
The rare Fen Raft Spider - once thought nearly extinct - is making a comeback across UK wetlands. Thanks to concerted conservation efforts, the species now thrives at more sites, delighting nature lovers and signalling improving habitat health. This is good news! Apparently.. Source

Vauxhall-Waterloo Line Reopens
South Western Railway has reopened the line between Vauxhall and Waterloo following an earlier incident. Services that were suspended are now running again, though delays and altered schedules remain as they work to fully restore normal operations. Source
