Dave’s Mum’s Hospital Heroics

Top Boy star Dave has been praising his mum Juliet Omoregie’s inspiring “mission” to support elderly patients discharged from South London hospitals via her Juliet O Foundation. Her free care packs - complete with non-slip socks, toiletries, tea and coffee, are easing the return home and reducing readmissions. Source

Thousands Ride London-Brighton

On 14th September thousands of cyclists took on the 55-mile Skyline London to Brighton bike ride. They pedalled from London through Surrey and Sussex, finishing at Brighton’s seafront. It was a major community event raising awareness and celebrating cycling culture. Source

Battersea Blaze on Maysoule Road

A huge fire ripped through a five-storey block of flats on Maysoule Road, Battersea. Around 150 residents were evacuated. About 100 firefighters from 15 engines fought the blaze, which damaged much of the roof. The cause is under investigation. Source

Trespasser Wanted After ÂŁ300k Incident

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image after a man trespassed on the tracks at Wandsworth Road station on 14 August. The incident between 4.10pm and 5.40pm caused over ÂŁ300,000 of damage and major delays. Anyone with info should contact BTP referencing 481. Source

Brixton Locals Push Back

Residents in Brixton are fighting back against Lambeth Council’s latest development plans. Concerns range from the potential loss of Pop Brixton vendors to overuse of Brockwell Park for festivals. Campaigners demand proper consultation, transparency and homes that serve the community - not just big money interests. Source

Windmill Brixton gears up for a night of metal and madness on 17 September with Classic Trucks leading the show. Big riffs, heavy drums and high energy guaranteed. 18+ only, doors 7.45 pm. Source

The Blues Kitchen Brixton is opening its stage on 17 September for Afternoise Open Jam featuring Tracks on Tap. Expect a lively mix of sounds, improvisation and plenty of local talent on show. Source

Windmill Brixton hosts Morn, Charlemagne and Casual Smart on 18 September. A night of indie, alternative sounds and raw energy in one of the area’s most loved grassroots venues. Source

Zulan Live in London

AXS is listing tickets for Zulan’s upcoming show in London. With fresh sounds and a growing fanbase, this one is set to draw a big crowd looking for something new. Source

Colourscape Clapham

Clapham Common transforms on 20 September with Colourscape, a vibrant maze of colour, light and sound. Expect immersive performances from composers, improvisers and musicians throughout the day in this one-of-a-kind experience. Source

Flamenco Express at The Landor

Raw flamenco returns with La Joaquina, Chris Clavo, El Pola and guest Kuky Santiago delivering fiery solos and stirring rhythms. The Landor Space hosts this intense evening of world-class folk-flamenco on Saturday 20 September. Source

Maggi’s Pon Di Roof Closing Party

Celebrate the end of summer on the rooftop at Brixton Storeys with dancehall, RnB, reggae, jerk food vendors, a sound system, rum punch and dance-offs. 1pm to 7pm on Sunday 21 September. Source
