SW London Hospitals Brace for Strike

Resident doctors across South West London NHS hospitals will strike from 7 am on 25 July until 7 am on 30 July, potentially disrupting emergency and non‑urgent care. NHS bosses urge patients to attend scheduled appointments unless contacted and seek alternative care via NHS 111 or GPs. Source

SW London Musician Convicted for Cyberflashing

Ben Gunnery, a violinist from Vauxhall, was found guilty of cyberflashing after sending explicit images to fellow musician Anna Downes. She says police delays left her feeling ignored. Gunnery received a two-year community order. Source

Pub Bag Swipe Caught on CCTV

A notorious bag thief, Sid Rebai (36), has been jailed for 2½ years after being filmed using his foot to drag away a backpack from an unsuspecting drinker outside a pub in the City of London. Plain‑clothes officers swiftly arrested him and returned the bag within minutes. Source

Northern Line Fatality at Charing Cross

A person was tragically hit and killed by a southbound Northern line train at Charing Cross at around 08:35 on 22 July 2025. Emergency services responded swiftly, the incident is not being treated as suspicious, and disruption remains major. Source

London Faces Possible Heatwave Alert

The Met Office has issued a yellow heat-health alert across London and the South East, warning of rising temperatures from mid‑July onwards. The region is now over twice as likely than usual to see a hot summer- stay cool and hydrated out there. Source
